Norwegian energy giant Statoil has signed an agreement with Lithuanian trading duo Litgas and Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas (LDT) – both part of Lietuvos Energija – to boost the development of the small-scale LNG market in the Baltic region, Litgas said this week.
Under the deal, Litgas and LDT will offer LNG modulation services at the 2 mtpa Klaipeda floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and the gas grid, while Statoil provides wholesale supply to clients for delivery from the terminal to other Baltic regions by road or ship.
