Petrobras has agreed to sell a 90% stake in Brazilian gas pipeline operator Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS) to an international consortium led by Canadian fund Brookfield Asset Management for USD 5.19 billion, subject to regulatory approval.
The divestment of NTS, which operates pipelines in the southern half of Brazil, is the largest by Petrobras so far this year and will account for approximately 35% of the company’s USD 15 billion divestment target for 2015-2016.
