Bulgaria is looking to buy up to a 25% stake in the construction of the Alexandroupolis floating LNG storage and regasification unit (FSRU) project in northern Greece, a spokesperson for Greek utility and project developer Gastrade told Gas Matter Today on Friday.
Gastrade aims to develop the Alexandroupoli FSRU and since May has been involved in a joint working team with Bulgarian state-backed BEH, which is preparing a study on Bulgaria’s involvement in the project, the spokesperson said.
