Canada’s National Energy Board has granted Pacific NorthWest LNG (PNW LNG) an extension of its export licence from 25 to 40 years, eight months after the project partners filed an application.
British Columbia natural gas minister Rich Coleman said the extension will help the project secure offtakers, adding that the new licence could provide “proponents with the assurance they need to secure customer contracts and, ultimately, reach a final investment decision.”
