Pakistani state-run Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB) has launched a tender to find a company to develop a 1.2 GW CCGT plant to burn regasified LNG at the existing Muzaffargarh oil- and gas-fired station in the eastern province of Punjab.
Bidders have until December 16 to bid for a build, own and operate, transfer (BOOT) contract for a 30-year term. PPIB said it hopes to begin commercial operations at the plant in December 2018.
