Western companies are becoming increasingly involved in Iran’s oil and gas sector, with state media reporting a series of preliminary deals with services major Schlumberger and a number of Danish companies, among others.
The return of IOCs and other industry players to post-sanctions Iran appeared to begin in earnest earlier this month after French major Total signed a multi-billion dollar deal [1] to develop the country's giant South Pars gas field.
