The Mozambican government has approved changes to contracts with Anadarko and Eni, which could bring the pair closer to a final investment decision (FID) on their LNG export projects. But sources told Gas Matters Today the Italian major appears likely to reach that goal first.
The decrees announced on Tuesday set general terms for the firms to jointly sell LNG – including the state’s share of LNG offtake from planned liquefaction projects – as well as amending Anadarko’s production-sharing contract for offshore production from Area 1 in the resource rich Rovuma basin.
