Nearly 60% of US LNG exports have gone to Latin America this year, contrary to predictions from many market experts that buyers in the Europe and Asia would acquire relatively large volumes, a report from the US Department of Energy has confirmed.
In the first ten months of this year, the US exported 2.2 mt of LNG and imported 1.4 mt, some of which was also re-exported, government data showed.
