India’s largest gas importer Petronet has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangladesh Oil to set up a 7.5 mtpa regasification terminal on the Bangladeshi island of Kutubdia in the Bay of Bengal.
The four-year USD 950 million terminal project, originally proposed at 5 mpta capacity, will also see the two companies develop a pipeline, according to a statement by the High Commission of India in Dhaka.
