India’s biggest LNG importer Petronet hopes that a new pipeline linking the Kotchi LNG terminal to industrial areas in southern India can help the facility ramp up to 40% of installed capacity by 2019.
At present, the terminal operates at a maximum of 10% of capacity, according to industry sources, with some reports suggesting that utilisation was as low as 1% in 2015.
