Hoegh LNG has ordered two new floating storage regasification units (FSRUs) from South Korean duo Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries. The Bermuda-based firm can opt to order up to three additional vessels.
The Samsung and Hyundai FSRUs will have capacity to regasify 750 MMcf/d and 1 Bcf/d, respectively, equal to 5.6 mtpa and 7.5 mtpa of LNG. Both will have 170,000 cm of storage capacity.
