Indonesian state firm Pertamina, state utility PLN and Japanese conglomerates Marubeni and Sojitz have agreed to develop a 1.76 GW LNG-to-power project on Java island, which would include a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).
Pertamina and the Japanese companies will build the USD 1.8 billion power plant along with an integrated FSRU and related infrastructure to deliver feedgas, while PLN has committed to buy the electric generated by the project.
