Gazprom’s gas deliveries to Germany through the OPAL pipeline were down 30% on 1 February after Poland successfully blocked a request by the Russian provider for more capacity on the 36 Bcm/year link.
Data from the pipeline’s operator, OPAL Nel Transport, show that physical flows through the pipeline – which runs parallel to Germany’s border with Poland to the Czech Republic – fell by 27 MMcm/d to 64 MMcm/day on Wednesday.
