The value of energy exports from Mexico to the US have crashed to a ten-year low on the back of strong shale production and a collapse in crude oil output, new figures show.
The drop in global oil prices and production issues at state-run Pemex saw Mexico’s US-bound crude exports slump to USD 7.6 billion in 2016, compared to an annual average of about USD 30 billion from 2006 to 2014.
