Israel is pushing for high-level talks with Italy, Greece and Cyprus to advance ambitious plans for an Eastern Mediterranean subsea gas pipeline to export gas to European markets.
Israeli energy minister Yuval Steinitz said in a televised interview with Bloomberg that the cross-med pipeline – which would avoid potential political obstacles with Turkey – could be complete within six years.
