Energy policy is unlikely to feature prominently during the impending federal elections in Germany as both parties are united in their support of ending nuclear power and tapping renewable energy sources, with gas seen as the best fuel to complement the latter.
This was the message of German MP Franz Thonnes and Friedbert Pfluger, founder and managing director of Berlin-based investment consultancy Friedbert Pflüger Internationale Beratung.
