Osaka’s high court has overturned a previous court decision preventing the restart of two units at Kansai Electric Power’s (KEPCO) four-reactor Takahama nuclear power plant, the company said on Tuesday.
“After filing an appeal with the Osaka high court on 14 July 2016, we pointed out that the decision of the Otsu District Court was lacking rationality and again explained conscientiously from scientific and technical viewpoints that safety of units 3 and 4 of Takahama nuclear power station was secured,” KEPCO said in a statement.
