Australian exports of LNG to China grew strongly last month, data from the Gladstone Ports Corporation in Queensland reveals, underscoring the growing importance of liquefied gas to the Chinese economy.
More than 800,000 tonnes were shipped to China from the Port of Gladstone in April, the fourth largest monthly volume since LNG exports from the port began in January 2015. The figure is up 31% year on year and 17% month on month.
