Plans to construct Germany’s first LNG import terminal are back on the table after the European Commission approved a joint venture that will perform a feasibility study for a facility in the country's northwest.
Comprising German tank storage operator Oiltanking and Dutch gas and logistics service providers Vopak and Gasunie, the joint venture said this week it will assess the viability of developing a multi-service, mid-scale LNG terminal in Brunsbuttel, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
