Indonesia has issued a regulation aimed at improving the penetration of gas and LNG in the country’s coal-heavy power mix. Jakarta’s latest rule also puts more focus on absorbing domestic LNG cargoes, which producers have been struggling to sell lately.
The government revised rule No.11/2017, which placed a maximum price cap on gas prices sold to state-owned utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and independent power producers.
