Strong LNG demand in the Far East kept oversupply at bay in the second quarter of 2017 despite a surge in production, but imports by price-sensitive India were down, as LNG became less competitive with other fuels in the south Asian powerhouse.
Global LNG supply increased by 10.8% in Q2 ‘17 compared with the same quarter in 2016, spearheaded by a strong rise in production in Australia and the US.
