European gas hubs UK NBP and Dutch TTF failed to extend gains for a third consecutive day, with both benchmarks falling on Tuesday by 4% and 3.5% respectively. US gas benchmark Henry Hub also fell but the loss was minor at 0.2%, with CME’s December-dated JKM futures contract remaining unchanged.
Crude oil prices were mixed on Tuesday, with WTI settling 0.2% higher and Brent down 0.2%.
The European carbon price ended a three day rally, as month-ahead ETS allowance (EUA) futures fell by 2.7% to close at EUR 26.64/tonne.
