Brazil’s LNG regasification capacity could almost double in the near future as more terminals, currently under development, start up. However, Brazil’s future demand for LNG is uncertain, and has slumped since the start of 2022. As a result, developers of LNG import facilities in Brazil, who are looking to monetise excess regasification capacity, are showing an interest in small-scale LNG distribution.
