Brazil is emerging as a key market for biofuels and has the potential to sustainably produce as much as 186 billion litres/year from palm oil, which could help replace fossil fuels in transport and power generation, according to the CEO of Brazilian agribusiness player BBF Group.
The São Paulo-based company is the largest palm oil producer in Latin America and plans to expand its biofuels offering with a focus on green diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), BFF Group head Milton Steagall told Gas Matters Today.
