Synthesis Gas

Also known as Syngas, Synthesis Gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen produced from methane or other hydrocarbons and steam and used to produce various chemicals, notably methanol. It is also the basis for the Fischer Tropsch process. See also: Middle Distillate Synthesis.
