Japanese technology group Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) has developed an adjustable storage tank for LNG-fuelled ships five times larger than those currently on the market, according to reports.
The KHI storage tank design uses dividers to increase resistance to turbulence and has up to 10,000 cm of capacity, compared to the industry standard of 2,000 cm or less, news sources said.
