Brazil will open a new oil and gas licensing round by July this year, according to reports quoting a source at the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the country’s hydrocarbons regulator. All blocks to be tendered will be outside the offshore pre-salt. Most blocks will be onshore and hold smaller reserves in the northeast of the country.
