Noble Energy said on Monday it has raised its resource estimate for Israel’s offshore Leviathan field to 17 Tcf after encountering approximately 290 net feet of natural gas at its appraisal well in the Amit license. On a separate note, Reuters reported on Monday that Israel Electric (IEC) has agreed to purchase $8 billion worth of natural gas from the partners developing the Tamar gas field offshore Israel - Noble Energy, Delek Group and Isramco.
