Total follows Eni back into Libya aiming to restart oil and gas production

Total CEO Christophe de Margerie told German daily Handelsblatt that Total is in talks with the Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) with the aim of resuming production from its oil and gas interests in Libya. Total will be the second international company to venture back into Libya since the start of the upheaval after Italy’s Eni and the NTC signed a MoU last month, to create the conditions for the rapid recovery of its activities.
