The project partners behind the development of Venezuela’s 17 Tcf Perla gas field have confirmed that production is on track for early 2014, with a Repsol executive telling an oil conference in Puerto le Cruz that production is around 15 months away. Project partners Repsol, Eni and state energy company Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) had originally said they hoped initial production would start at the field by the end of 2012.
