Network Code

A detailed contractual regime governing access to a gas grid. Network Codes exist or are being developed in several countries, especially in Europe. In North America the rules of the system are referred to as “The Tariff”. In particular, the contractual regime for the gas grid in Great Britain operated by National Grid. It is continually amended through rules approved by the GB energy regulator, (Ofgem). See also Tariff and Rates.
