BG Group said on Thursday that it was holding discussions with Brazil’s Cosan, with the Brazilian company eyeing a potential bid for BG Group’s 60.1% stake in Comgás – Brazil’s largest gas distribution company. Cosan is Brazil’s largest sugar and ethanol producer and is keen to further its ties within the energy sector, having already launched a biofuels joint venture with Shell last year.
