Italy’s Eni announced late last week that it had, for the first time in its history, started producing hydrocarbons in Russia – at the Samburskoye field, located in the autonomous district of Yamal-Nenets in western Siberia. The initial gas and liquids production at the field will be 43,000 boe/d, with Eni taking a net 14,000 boe/d. The field start up is the first of four start-ups expected in a four-year plan that will lead to production of about visual_editor00,000 boe/d net to Eni in visual_editor019.
