A survey of Australian independent Dart Energy’s UK shale licences carried out by Netherland Sewell & Associates (NSAI) has revealed a best estimate of original gas in place of 66 Tcf. Dart Energy said the estimates – which cover licenses in the Bowland, Black Metal and Broxburn shale areas – show “substantial shale gas prospectivity”. In September last year, Cuadrilla Resources estimated visual_editor00 Tcf of gas in place at its Bowland shale holdings.
