Norway’s oil and gas sector can breathe a sigh of relief after the re-election of Norway’s Conservative leader Erna Solberg as the country’s prime minister, with her appointment likely to ensure stable and predictable oil and gas policy for Scandinavia’s richest nation, according to the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association (NOGA).
Solberg won a close-fought battle against the Labour party to become only the second ever Conservative leader to win back-to-back terms, a feat that has not happened since 1985.
